Bitter Angel

Find Bitter Angel on Amazon and B&N

Torn between two realities.
A choice that will mean life or death.
But she won’t know anything… until she wakes up.

College sophomore, Lila Spencer lived Friday night twice. She doesn’t know how or why, just that she did. As if she split in half and went in two different directions.

Out clubbing with her friends, Heather and Nilah, the girls rock it out and party hard. What begins as an innocent night will lead to a deadly fight for their lives, and Lila might be their only chance for survival.

In bed with her boyfriend, Jay, Lila is safe and warm as she drifts to sleep in the arms of the man she loves. Until she is sucked into a horrifying nightmare of her friends' deaths.

As the sunlight warms her face on Saturday morning, the two scenarios collide. But there can be only one outcome. Will she wake up in her warm bed with Jay by her side, devastated and grieving for her friends? Or was she there to save them?

The answer is just the beginning.

  2. That sounds really interesting and compelling. I am an aspiring author myself, may I ask how you came up with that great of a synopsis? I've tried many a time and never come out with anything as elegant as that! Great job.

    1. Aria,

Great to meet a fellow writer! For my summary, I honestly just kept writing and tweaking it until it felt right. I went through many different summaries and versions of it before I finally picked this one, and that was after putting it to the 'friend' test, passing it to all my friends and asking them to vote, lol. Just have as many people read it as possible, compile all the notes, and adhere to the ones that repeat the most. As one of my good friends says, though, "Too many cooks in the kitchen", don't let their opinions overtake yours.

      Good luck!

  3. Megan, I have just finished reading this debut of yours and I am so proud of you, of knowing the sweet young woman you are, and WOW! LOL, I know a published author, not just any author, but a good one! I've been reading bits of your " Bitter Angel", aloud to my boyfriend, and I'm so excited one would think I wrote it! The plotting is awesome, the characters unfurling like a flag and whipping back again. I stayed up way too late, then resumed reading with my breakfast.

This is NOT a review - for - reading, but a spontaneous, heartfelt response to a good book coming from a major bibliophile. Megan Hand, God bless you and yours as we eagerly await your next publication.
